TOPIC: HASTEN YOUR WORDS UNTO PERFORMANCE IN MY LIFE, O LORD.

TEXT: JEREMIAH 1:12.

INTRODUCTION

Let us first read together the Text.

This is an exciting topic one cannot joke with. Imagine God watching His word and guiding it unto performance. It means He is going to ensure it does not fail to accomplish. How important is God’s word? In John Chapter 1, it was the Word of God that created everything from nothing, it says that nothing was created without His Word. John 1:1-3 says, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made.” God even watches over His own Word to perform it; so, IF God gave you a promise in His Word (the Bible), then just believe it because He is WATCHING over His own Word to make sure it comes to pass! See when a King speaks it becomes a DECREE or LAW, and even the King cannot change what He decreed! So, when God speaks, His Word becomes the laws by which things are governed. Our job is to read His Word, understand and believe what He said!

The added-colour is the word ‘Hasten’ in the topic. It means to ‘quicken’. In other words, speed it up. Time is going and there must be performance. The confidence we rest on is that God is pulling people from the long queue and sorting them out. Hear the word of God: that divine overtaking you have been attempting is hereby approved. Your progress is now in leaps and bounds in the name of Jesus.

The Efficacy of God’s Word

1. The word of our God will stand and endure forever.

The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever – Isaiah 40:8 AMP.

For all flesh (mankind) is like grass, and all its glory (honour) like [the] flower of grass. The grass withers and the flower drops off, But the Word of the Lord (divine instruction, the Gospel) endures forever. And this Word is the good news which was preached to you – 1 Peter 1:24-25 AMP.

2. God’s Word will never pass away without fulfilment.

For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled – Matthew 5:18 NKJV.

3. God is dependable and faithful to His Word.

So let us seize and hold fast and retain without wavering the hope we cherish and confess and our acknowledgement of it, for He Who promised is reliable (sure) and faithful to His word – Hebrews 10:23 AMP.

4. The Word of God is tested, tried and proven.

As for God, His way is perfect; the word of the Lord is tried. He is a Shield to all those who trust and take refuge in Him – 2 Samuel 22:31 AMP.

As for God, His way is perfect! The word of the Lord is tested and tried; He is a shield to all those who take refuge and put their trust in Him – Psalm 18:30 AMP.

Every word of God is tried and purified; He is a shield to those who trust and take refuge in Him – Proverbs 30:5 AMP.

If we are faithless [do not believe and are untrue to Him], He remains true (faithful to His Word and His righteous character), for He cannot deny Himself – 2 Timothy 2:13 AMP.

Divine Speed and Overtaking

God is not slow concerning His promises and He makes all things beautiful in His time. The man at the pool of Bethsaida was waiting for his turn to get into the pool for healing. He would have waited endlessly as he had no one; but Jesus took him above the long queue. In other words, divine acceleration is what we need and it is possible. When God hastens His word, He takes you above others. “They that know their God shall be strong indeed and they shall do exploits.”The Psalmist is very wise. He seems to know how to plead with God to jump others and focus on Him. In seven different places, he pleaded with God to make haste.

1. “But you, O Lord, do not be far off! O you my help, come quickly to my aid!” (Psalm 22:19). “Make haste to help me, O Lord, my salvation!” (Psalm 38:22)
2. “Be pleased, O Lord, to deliver me! O Lord, make haste to help me!” (Psalm 40:13)
3. “You are my help and my deliverer; do not delay, O my God!” (Psalm 40:17)
4. “Make haste, O God, to deliver me! O Lord, make haste to help me!” (Psalm 70:1)
5. “But I am poor and needy; hasten to me, O God! You are my help and my deliverer; O Lord, do not delay!” (Psalm 70:5)
6. “God, be not far from me; O my God, make haste to help me!” (Psalm 71:12)
7. “Lord, I call upon you; hasten to me! Give ear to my voice when I call to you!” (Psalm 141:1)

PRAYER POINTS

1. Father, at any point that l have left the star leading me, to go into “Herod’s palace“, have mercy and reconnect me to Your path of divine leading and guidance.
2. Father, in the name of Jesus, let Your Word prosper me in 2019.
3. Father, let every yoke of stagnancy in my life be broken; and grant me accelerated progress on all fronts.
4. I decree, I declare divine acceleration and laughter into my life in the name of Jesus Christ.
5. By divine grace, I receive strength for the race. My feet are like those of the hind. My pace is steady and enhanced in the name of Jesus.
6. Any invisible chain on my legs, break, in the Name of Jesus.
7. Every distance stolen from my life by the enemy, I repossess you, in the Name of Jesus.
8. Power of delayed blessings, be defeated in the Name of Jesus.
9. Yokes assigned to frustrate my efforts, break, in the Name of Jesus.
10. Everything that hitherto held me to the back is destroyed in Jesus’ Name.
11. Barriers and strongholds erected to stop me, scatter, in the Name of Jesus.
12. Anti-progress enchantments and divination, backfire, in the Name of Jesus.
13. I declare my household is free from delayed achievements in 2019 in Jesus’ Name.
14. Ancient gates, blocking my laughter, catch fire, in the Name of Jesus.
15. Satanic comma or full stop, assigned to detain me, vanish, in the name of Jesus.
16. Let every abandoned project in our lives spring to life in Jesus’ Name.

CONCLUSION

As God said to Jeremiah in Jeremiah 1:12 that He watches over His word to perform it, He is saying the same to us as well. God is not man that he would lie. He has indeed deployed resources to give us accelerated breakthroughs. Let us endeavour to hold His word dear to our hearts by trusting and obeying Him.
