TOPIC: Christian Fellowship-FORGIVENESS
TEXT:Matthew 18:21-35
AIM
INTRODUCTION:
Forgiveness is the act of pardoning or letting go of resentment, anger, or any negative feelings toward someone who has wronged or hurt you in some way. It involves releasing the desire for revenge or punishment and choosing to free yourself from the emotional burden caused by the wrongdoing.
When you forgive, you make a conscious decision to show compassion, empathy, and understanding towards the person who harmed you. It is an internal process that can lead to healing and a sense of inner peace. By forgiving, you can break the cycle of negativity and release yourself from the emotional pain associated with the past.
Forgiveness must be from our heart as seen in Matthew 18:35
DISCUSSION
FOOD FOR THOUGHT
Most of the people that hurt you are your family, friends, or fellow Christian! However, for our own sanity, we need to forgive. If we don’t love and forgive our fellow men that we see and relate to, how can we prove that we love God that we don’t see. Make sure you forgive people from your HEART as seen in our memory verse.
