Entrepreneurial Boot Camp in Conjunction with AVMCC EEP*

Thanks be unto God. The much awaited Entrepreneurial Bootcamp ended few hours ago. Participants came early enough to register participation for the program not minding the heavy downpour.

The Vicar, Ven. Yemi Agbelusi, commenced the boot camp by offering prayers and later welcome the EEP team, led by the Head, Management Committee. Mr. Olumide Ajomale. The Vicar charged everyone in attendance to pay rapt attention to every details as would be discussed adding that it is an opportunity to sharpen their skills.

Mr. Ajomale, while thanking the organizers for the initiative, further remarked that the EEP team considered it a great privilege to be part of empowering God’s people economically especially at this time in our Nation. We are glad as a Ministry to be here today, and looking forward to receiving testimonials as we have recorded at the AVMCC community from participants who had attended our sessions at onetime or the other, we trust you will be able to do same after today’s exposure, he concluded.The bootcamp had four sessions as outlined. The first which dwells on Rudiments of entrepreneurship was taken by the EEP team lead, Entrepreneurship unit, Mr..Mayokun Ogedengbe, after which Mrs. Babarinsa took participants through another mind blowing session, titled: “developing business ideas” Mrs. Babarinsa session got participants to their toes as there were lots of practicality woven into the presentation.

Mr. Oni, in his convincing approach took the third session on “Making your business succeed” Mr. Oni’s presentation simple but carries enough weight to inspire anyone to succeed the odds, challenges and circumstances notwithstanding.

The final wrap up session on “Having a winning business plan'” was taken by Mrs. Segilola Olawoyin. She was explanatory enough to differentiate between a business plan and having a wining business plan, which according to her, it is best to have and encouraged participants to consistently work from it, once in their possession.

while rounding off the program, gifts  were given to outstanding participants who distinguished themselves in one activity or the other while the  program lasted

A total number of 243 participants attended the entrepreneurial bootcamp
