“From Glory to Glory”
Agape Christian Sisters mark Christmas with 7 Hours of Intense Praise.
In appreciation of God’s faithfulness from the beginning of the year till this moment, the Agape Christian Sisters of the Archbishop Vinning Memorial Church Cathedral, AVMCC, GRA Ikeja, on Friday
15th of December,2023 hosted a 7-Hour Intense Praise Worship & Ministration program tagged ”From Glory to Glory.”
It was truly a night of intense praise to the almighty God as various gospel bands led praise sessions that expressed gratitude from both the clergy and the laity.
The program which started with praise and worship from the Cathedral Youth Band was followed by a session of prayer of thanksgiving by The Ven. Kayode Omoyelu. The Emmanuel & the Asaph Crew capped that session with melodious tunes; while the AVMCC Choir serenaded the audience with another moment of praise worship.
The Rev. Michael Obembe led the congregation to pray for the “healing of the world, the nation and the sick”.
The St. Andrew’s Church, Agege Band, and the Isoko Band of St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Mende took the congregation through another round of praise worship.
The highpoint of the evening was the music presentation by the special artist Dare Justified, who carried the unrelenting congregation in praises to the Most-High God.
Other clergies in attendance led prayer sessions intermittently, with bible readings from individuals representing the Sunday School and the Elderly Ministry.
Bois Olorun led spectacular praises to
God in a creative fashion using the
Yoruba language, which transformed the congregation.
The sermon was preached by The Ven. Kolawole Ariire who shared insight on the power of praise and how praise can help shift positions. He expounded the theme by highlighting the place of glory and destiny, anchoring it on prayers.
The Dean of the Cathedral, The Ven. Ebenezer Adewole delivered the prophetic declaration to close the event. The evening was a beautiful expression of gratitude to God as individuals expressed their praises with their voices and dance steps in reaction to various instruments such as tambourines, flutes and vuvuzelas.
